When you finished your job interview, you need to leave a unique and polite impression, so they might think you are a right candidate for the certain job. You should definitely make sure that you asked all question which is related to the company, system, process and your particular job. Show them the interest that you have, and you have a huge potential and ambition to your future job. Moreover, you will never ever get this chance again, so this is the moment to shine, and ask as many questions as you can. Nevertheless, don’t ask too simple questions because they will think you did not go over their website or history. Next step, when the interviewer is trying to close the interview, you should share all your positive skills and abilities such as dealing with customers, contributing your knowledge to company, collaborating with coworkers, various strategies in your own position and leadership. As a result, he or she will be amazed how significant you are for their job. Furthermore, make sure that the interviewer got all information from yourself and from your application. Keep asking him or her questions like what else do they want to know about you or do they have any additional questions which are related to the job or your experience. Therefore, you can get their suggestions or their thoughts about you, so you would receive their signals if they want you or not. At the end, you should express your feeling how you delighted to sit in that position that you are keen on. Show your emotion, but don’t overdo it. During a handshake you should look at their eyes, and pleasantly smile. Remember as soon as you leave the office; don’t let the negative thoughts flow in your mind; be optimistic. However, as you leave, you still have to keep walking straight and elegant. As soon as you are in their zone is not a safe place, you need to professional because they might look at you from the window. Till you get to the car, and drive away, then you are at the safe place. Therefore, that is the time for you to express yourself.
Hi Anh~
ReplyDeleteI think that it is essential to come prepared to the job interview so you are not surprised with questions. Even though it is impossible to be prepared for every question, it is important to be relaxed and think carefully about each answer. From my own experience, deep breathing often helps me to feel more relaxed and clear my head. I also agree with you that it is important to properly finish the interview and leave the best impression. Nevertheless, I believe that proper research and preparation for the interview is very essential. I think that learning the basic body language gestures may help as well. Great post Anh!
Your blog reminded me of something that my mother told me when I was growing up. She said that the day before an exam or a presentation, instead of studying late and trying to cram information in your head, it will do you better if you take a rest instead. Sometimes we know more than we think and by not getting enough sleep we can’t access that information in our brain when we need to.
ReplyDeleteHi Anh,
ReplyDeleteEven though we prepare the question very well, there is still a chance to be surprised by question. As result, despite of preparation, the most important thing is the psychological adjustment. We need to learn how to adjust before and during the interview. Moreover, I hold the same perspective as you in preparation. We should not ask simple question at the end. Instead, the question should be prepared carefully before interview.
Thank you for sharing!
